Who are we?
In this policy, references to "we", "us" and "Gap" are to GPS (Great Britain) Limited (trading as Gap and Banana Republic), a company incorporated in England and Wales (registered number 2275771) whose registered office is Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, London W1J 6BS.References to Gap Inc. are to the Gap Inc., a California corporation, being the parent company of Gap. The legislation
We will at all times only collect and process your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and any other applicable data protection legislation.
What kind of information do we collect and how do we use it?
We collect information, such as name, e-mail, phone number and other information requested in any form you fill in. All this information is collected in an effort to process your job application and to keep you updated with any similar roles that may arise (should you so wish).
We use the personal information you provide us to process your job application and contact you (or refrain from contacting you) in relation to the job applications which you have made as well as in respect of any similar roles which may arise in the future (should you so wish).
The personal information that you provide to us will only be retained for so long as is necessary and unless you require otherwise we shall delete such information 12 months after the date on which the information is first collected.
We will also add this information to Gap's HR and payroll systems should your application be successful.

We have put in place technical and organisational security measures to prevent the loss or unauthorised access of your personal information. However, whilst we have used our best efforts to ensure the security of your data, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the Internet.
Gap reserves the right to process and disclose information about you as required by law, in response to legal process and law enforcement requests, and as necessary to protect the property, interests and rights of Gap, its affiliates, and others.
Does Gap share my information with third parties?
We contract with service providers to maintain and manage information collected and to communicate with those who submit their information. We do not authorise any of these service providers to make any other use of your information.
In the event of a sale of some or all of our business or purchase of any other business or assets, Gap may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or purchaser of such business or assets.

If you do elect to provide this information, we assure you that the information provided is not linked to your job application in any manner whatsoever and the information will be used by Gap solely to monitor the diversity of its workforce on a macro level.
How do I access my information? How do I change or delete my information?
You have a right to access the information we hold about you. You can ask us to update your information, by emailing us at uk_career@gap.com. Please be sure to include your e-mail address and full name. Please note that any requests to update your personal information may take up to ten days.
How do I exercise my choices about receiving further communications?
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. By providing us with your contact details, you have authorized us to contact you via the details supplied to process your application. You may also have specifically consented to us contacting you in respect of future positions that may become available. If you subsequently decide that you prefer not to receive further information from us in respect of a job application made or wish to revoke your consent for us to contact you with any similar roles that arise in the future, please let us know by changing your contact preference to ‘No’ in your personalised ‘Candidate Zone’ within the www.gapcareers.co.uk website.
